Lead Pastor

Curt is the lead and founding pastor of Graceway Church. He, his wife Abbey, and their team started the church in their basement in December of 2019. Curt was born and raised in Bristol and comes from a strong Christian family. He served as a youth pastor before starting Graceway Church with the vision of meeting people where they are and moving them closer to Jesus. He and Abbey have three children: Isaiah, Isabella, and Ezra.  Together they are committed to establishing a church where Jesus Christ has the preeminence.

Fun Fact: Curt is actually bald and is unable to grow hair

Steve began checking out Graceway Church when it was still the basement church. Steve’s daughters go to school with Pastor Curt’s children and he and Curt met at one of their birthday parties. They talked about life, ministry, and church for almost the entire party and the rest is history. While talking, texting, and hanging out with the Sparks family, Steve observed a work ethic and commitment to the preaching of Christ crucified that he hadn't seen before. Not long after, Steve, Ashley, and the girls joined Graceway. From there he began to grow and mold the direction of the music ministry at the church. In June of 2021, Steve came on as a pastor. He is currently a full-time science teacher and nature lover. Steve’s giftedness and background in education are helping Graceway Church grow in it’s knowledge of the scriptures. Steve loves the Word of God, seeing people grow in their sanctification, and has a heart for authentic worship. He and his wife Ashley have three children: Sammie, Stefani, and Lily.

Fun Fact: Steve spent 3 weeks in the Amazon Rainforest; it took their group 55 hours by bus and boat to arrive at the remote jungle outpost.
